TESTS APPLIED FOR PAPER (RAW MATERIAL)

Ring Crush Test (RCT)

It is the maximum pressing force that the paper can withstand without crushing by applying force perpendicular to the cylindrical sample.

Weight Test

It is the mass in grams of 1 m² of paper under standard atmospheric conditions. Its unit is gr/m².

COBB Test

It is the amount of water that 1 m² of paper absorbs in a certain period of time under a 1 cm high water column under standard atmospheric conditions. Its unit is gr/m².

Vertical Crush Strength (CCT-Corrugatged Carsh Test)

It is the greatest force that the corrugations can withstand without being crushed by the force applied in the perpendicular direction to the surface of the paper that has been corrugated by passing through the Corrugation Device at 175 °C. Its unit is N.

Humidity Test

It is the determination of the water content of the paper. It is expressed as a %.

TESTS APPLIED TO SEMI-PRODUCTS

Surface Crush Test (CMT)

It is the greatest force that the corrugations can withstand without being crushed by the force applied in the perpendicular direction to the surface of the paper that has been corrugated by passing through the Corrugation Device at 175 °C. Its unit is N.

Edge Crush Test (ECT)

It is the force required to crush the grooves as a result of applying pressure parallel to the grooves of the corrugated cardboard under standard atmospheric conditions. Its unit is kN/m.

Humidity Test

It is the determination of the water content of the corrugated cardboard. It is expressed as a %.

Surface Crush Strength (FCT -Flat Crush Test)

It is the amount of pressure required to crush the corrugations as a result of applying pressure perpendicular to the surface of the corrugated cardboard under standard atmospheric conditions.

Bursting Strength (BST-Bursting Strength Test)

It is the pressure value required for the corrugated cardboard to explode by applying a hydraulic pressure under standard atmospheric conditions. It gives information about the strength of corrugated cardboard against regional stresses.

TESTS APPLIED TO THE PRODUCT

Box Endurance Test (BCT)

It is made to determine the resistance of the hollow box against vertical crushing. This test result gives us information about the crushing resistance of boxes stacked on top of each other. Its unit is kgf.

Spectrophotometer / Colorimeter

It is based on the principle of passing light in certain spectra through the sample and finding how much of this ray is absorbed by the sample.

OTHER ANCILLARY TESTS

Viscosity Measurement (Viscometer)

It is a measure of the glue’s resistance to deformation under surface tension. The unit of measurement using the Brookfield method is cP.

Thickness Measurement (Caliper / Micrometer)

It is the thickness measurement for sheet or paper.
